These terms cover the One Thing subscription. They don't cover general use of the App Store, which is governed by Apple's own terms.
One Thing is subscription-only — there is no free tier. A 14-day free trial starts automatically when you first open the app, and no payment is taken until the trial ends.
After the trial, One Thing offers two subscription plans:
Both plans unlock the same full set of features; the only difference is billing frequency and price. Pricing is charged in your local currency through your Apple ID and may vary by region.
Your subscription is billed through your Apple ID account. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings app, under your Apple ID's Subscriptions. Payment, refunds, and billing disputes are handled by Apple, under Apple's own policies — we don't have access to your payment details and can't issue refunds directly.
If your trial ends without converting to a paid plan, or a paid subscription lapses, One Thing does not lock you out of what you've already written. Specifically, in this "read-only" state:
We will never hold your own memories hostage behind a paywall: what's already yours stays visible and exportable, subscribed or not.
If these terms change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change to match. Continuing to use One Thing's subscription after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Beyond the subscription terms above, your use of the One Thing app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to all apps distributed through the App Store unless a developer substitutes their own — reachable from Apple's own site: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
